Chocolate Vegetable Garden

I made this cake for Dan's Dad's birthday. It's a chocolate cake base, fondant vegetables, fence made of Matchmakers, chocolate icing and sprinkles. 

Roses and White Chocolate


I made this cake for my birthday twin - Emily (Dan's sister)! It's a lovely rich chocolate cake covered in white chocolate ganache. 

Beehive Cake!


I made this cake for my friend Phil's Dad's 70th Birthday who's a beekeeper. He has a beehive box so I stacked four honey cakes high and made bees with marzipan! The cake is covered it in lemon buttercream. 

I hope the Crowley family enjoyed the cake! 

Manchester United Cupcakes!


As most of you will know I am not a football fan but I made these a few weeks ago for a young boy who's a big fan of Manchester United. It was Toby's 8th birthday and I made these as party favours for him and his friends.

Fondant Roses and Fudge Hearts!

I learnt how to make roses with fondant this weekend, which I thought would be a challenge but I figured it out, and didn't use a cutter! 

I did use a cutter with the fudge hearts though! 

The cupcakes with roses are red velvet and the ones with the hearts are caramel flavoured.

Raspberry and Almond Cake

I've been baking the last few weeks but haven't had time to upload any pictures. I made this cake for the girls who came over last weekend! 

I also attempted French macaroons last week but they turned out lumpy so definitely not uploading pictures of that! Once I get it exactly right I will proudly upload some pictures!

Kermit The Frog Cupcakes!

Wilfred, Gwen and Edith (Dan's nieces and nephew) saw The Muppets last week so we made these lemon cupcakes for Gwen's birthday party this weekend! xxx

Ladybird Cupcakes!!


I made these cute cupcakes with chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting and marzipan ladybirds. 

Frosting the grass took ages but it was worth it!!

This weekend I made red velvet cupcakes with buttercream frosting.

Bunting Cake


So I tried my decorating tools! The cutters are great but I have nothing nice to say about the sugar shaper. 


This decorating work is a lot harder and I am definitely going to seek professional help! Until then you'll have to do with my not-so-neat creations!

Orange, Almond and Yoghurt Loaf


I just finished baking this... smells great! Dan's having his slice with a glass of milk and if I am in a good mood tomorrow morning I might even take some into work! 

This weekend I attempted a Red Velvet Cake and the idea was to decorate it will a red polka dot icing. The technique I had chosen was to cut out small circles of the red icing and roll them into the white background icing. 



All did not go to plan - the Red Velvet is more like Maroon Velvet and several times Dan had to step in but even so, the red polka dot icing turned into baby pink icing with hot pink icing stuck on with edible glue. I know this was my first attempt but I am still frustrated and I hope that next time I will be able to show a better piece of work.
